Every summer there are wildfires because the weather is warmer. Some of these fires are caused by natural causes, such as an accident or thunder, but many of them are caused by humans.
If the fire is small, it can be easily controlled and in a few hours it would be out thanks to the work that firefighters do, but there are some that are very large and difficult to control. Many fields and trees are burned at high speed. If it occurs near a town or near a city, it can become more dangerous, because the fire come near the houses and can burn them.
Last summer there was a forest fire in Alpujarra, which mainly affected Bubión and Capileira. More than a hundred people were needed and it took almost a week to put out the fire. This forest fire burned about 28 hectares.
I think it is a serious problem that we have to avoid, many fields and animals are burned. Many fruits and animal species are lost, people can also die in the fire. Fires also pollute the air with smoke, so if we want to have fresh air and see a beautiful landscape we must take more care of nature.
