Recently you only hear talk about climate change and nobody is talking about permafrost.

Well, permafrost is very dangerous for the planet, it is the subsoil layer of the earth's crust that is frozen due to its nature. It is found in very cold areas such as Alaska. 

This layer is constantly melting and that is the dangerous thing, because when the ice melts, tons of methane and carbon dioxide are released.

Rising temperatures have sped up the process. Both methane and carbon dioxide are the main gases responsible for the greenhouse effect, which are part of global warming and the progressive destruction of our planet.
